Melt 1 Tbs. butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Sauté beef and garlic, in batches if necessary, 1-2 minutes stirring frequently until outside surface of beef is no longer pink. (Do not overcook.) Transfer beef to a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Combine rice mix, onion and remaining butter in same skillet over medium heat. Stir until vermicelli is golden brown. Stir in water and contents of seasoning packet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover tightly and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in broccoli. Continue to cook 3-5 minutes or until rice is tender. Return beef to skillet and heat through.
