HONEY-GLAZED CHICKEN WINGS

Ingredients:

  • 12 chicken wings, cut each into 3 pieces (reserving wing tips for chicken stock)
  • 3 Tbsps. honey
  • 1-1/2 Tbsps. light soy sauce
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 1 fresh red jalapeno chili, minced
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. five-spice powder

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add wings and blanch for 3 minutes; drain. Pat dry with paper towels. 3. Place marinade ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Add wings and stir to evenly coat. 4. Spread wings in a foil-lined baking pan. Bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Turn wings over and continue to bake until wings are tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
