Christmas Ice Cream Chocolate Balls
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
 Ingredients
14 oz. mixed dried fruit • 1/3 cup plus 3 Tbsps. brandy
• 2 violet crumble bars, crushed • 4-1/4 cups vanilla ice cream
• almond bread, to serve  
 Instructions
In a large mixing bowl combine mixed fruit and brandy. Allow to stand for at least 2 hours or overnight if possible. Take ice cream out of the refrigerator and allow it to soften. Mix through the fruit with any remaining brandy and fold through violet crumble. Refreeze overnight or until firm. Serve with almond bread.**
  
Chocolate Balls Festive Rum Balls
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
 Ingredients
• 9 oz. plain sweet biscuit crumbs • 5 oz. desiccated coconut, extra for coating (optional)
• 5 oz. icing sugar, extra for coating (optional) • 2 Tbsps. cocoa powder, extra for coating (optional)
• 3 oz. raisins, finely chopped • 3 oz. walnuts, finely chopped
• 1/4 cup rum • 1 tsp. angostura bitters (optional)
• 2 Tbsps. honey, pourable  
 Instructions
Combine first 6 ingredients in bowl. Mix together rum, angostura bitters (if used) and honey. Add to bowl and mix well to form a firm dough. Shape into balls and roll in desired coating or mixture. Chill until required.***


 

Warm Drinks for Chilly Days

Wine, rum, schnapps, brandy, and whiskey all pair well with warmed mixers. Hot beverages lend a festive air to holiday parties as easily as they warm you after a fall hike or an afternoon of ice skating.

Try this delicious recipesto warm you up when the weather turns cold

Hot Buttered Rum
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes

Ingredients

• 1 ½ oz. dark rum
• 1 tsp. brown sugar
• 1 tsp. butter
• 4 oz. hot water or milk
• Nutmeg (optional)

Instructions
In a mug, combine the rum, brown sugar, butter, and hot water. Stir until butter and sugar have melted. Garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg.****
