I just want to know why chefs.com is soooooo biased towards promoting the watered down french school that bought out all the independently owned culinary academies. What happened to creative culinary diversity?! Instead of everyone learning beautifully different info at many different schools, there is one curriculum, one school, many different places. Chefs.com doesnt even have a link to the CIA in New York or Johnson and Wales. How bland and tasteless are you all!! I would like to see a well rounded selection advertising the best culinary schools. Think outside your little french box please. For the sake of the culinary industry!

If you're in the Boston area and interested in opening your options to other schools you should check out http://www.cambridgeculinary.com/ this should also be added to the list of schools.

Those who love cooking gets satisfaction in culinary arts career only. There are degree as well as certification programs available in this career. Also there are options for either regular or online courses in culinary art. But I would suggest to go for online courses as during the course itself, one can gain experience by working in any hotel and restaurant. This would act as an add on in the career. This would also give practical knowledge in the field itself. The following site has the list of some top colleges providing online culinary arts courses.
http://www.culinaryartscollege.org/
Just copy and paste the above site on your browser. This would open up various courses under culinary arts and you can chose the best one for you depending upon your requirement such as kind of specialization, scholarship programs, cost of studies etc.

I have worked at various food service jobs over the years, I am going to Le Cordon Bleu in Sacramento and it is great! I have learned alot and I'm almost half way done. This is going to help me land a better culinary job, I'm already getting offers! If you like to cook and want to rise above the lower end jobs, give Le Cordon Bleu a visit.

Hello, i just wanted to ask you a couple questions. If you could assist me in any way that would be great. Im not even sure if you are around anymor since this was dated way back in August but ill give it a go. What program are you studying at the Le Cordon Bleu? I am looking at going into the pastry/ baking associates program but I would also want the basic culinary schools as to help me with the basics of the industry. Do they allow you to pick more then one degree option? Thank you for your help.
